New London Police Find Grams of Marijuana and Stolen Handgun in Home

There were more than 120 grams of marijuana found, according to police.

NEW LONDON, CT- Police arrested a man Thursday after they said to have found grams of marijuana and a stolen handgun in his house, The Day reported.

James Bowers, 30, was arrested on a number of charges, including possession of marijuana, operating a drug factory and possessing a stolen firearm, according to The Day. Police had obtained a warrant close to 10 a.m. and found 121 grams of marijuana, paraphernalia, a stolen .45-caliber handgun and $2,580 cash in the house.

Police were assisted in the search by members of the Statewide Narcotics Task Force - East and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, according to The Day. Bowers is being held on bond and banned from possessing any firearms.
