New London Police Respond to Man Injured in Shooting

NEW LONDON, CT – Police said a man was shot near Adelaide Street on Tuesday afternoon, as reported by The Day.

The man’s identity has not yet been revealed, but he is believed to be in his 30’s, according to The Day. He was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound in his buttocks.

Officers recovered shell casings from the scene, The Day reported. Police are investigating the situation and have blocked off an area of Adelaide Street, from Terrace Avenue to Cole Street.
