New London Police Seize Crack Cocaine, Arrest 2 on Narcotics Charges
Anyone with information concerning narcotics activity is encouraged to contact police immediately.
During a recent quality of life field initiative, New London Police Department narcotic officers and members of the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force arrested two individuals.
Luis Oliver-Garcia, 26, of Laurel Drive, New London, charged with:
- Possession of Narcotics
- Possession of Narcotics WITS
- Possession of Controlled Substance
Shareef Flanders, 32, of Mountain Avenue, New London, charged with:

- Possession of Narcotics
- Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell
- Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell Within 1500 Feet of a School
Police said they seized approximately 40 grams of crack cocaine and 24 grams of marijuana during Garcia's arrest. Approximately 15.7 grams of crack cocaine was seized during Flanders' arrest.
