New London Police To Target Cyber Criminals By Joining Task Force

NEW LONDON, CT - New London police are targeting cyber criminals and other web-based crimes by joining the Connecticut Cyber Task Force, as reported by NBC Connecticut. The department is one of only 11 municipal police departments to join the task force.

Police said the task force will be going after criminals using computers to steal information or, in some cases, money from companies, according to NBC Connecticut. They will also target criminals on the dark web buying or selling dangerous drugs.
