New London Rehabilitation in Waterford Among Four Recently Fined by DPH

Four nursing homes were recently fined by the State Department of Public Health for violations, including one in which a resident died and another 47 resident injuries were undocumented, Cara Rosner reported for C-Hit.

The facilities were located in Waterford, Avon, Colchester and Bristol, as reported by C-Hit. Each received fines to varying degree, as well as some staff reductions.

New London Rehabilitation and Care of Waterford was fined $3,000 for nurses failing to perform proper spot checks, resulting a resident leaving the facility, according to C-Hit. A code was also not properly paged for the missing resident.
