New London Sailors and Soldiers Monument to Host Vigil for Orlando Victims
They hope to take a stand against violence and choose hope over fear.

NEW LONDON, CT- A vigil is planned for Tuesday at the Sailors and Soldiers Monument to take a stand against hate and violence and choose hope over fear in light of this weekend’s Orlando shootings, News 8 reported.
The vigil will be held by OutCT, along with New London and religious leaders, according to News 8. The group gathered at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church on Monday to offer support to the community.
The vigil will be held at 5:30 p.m., though they expect people to gather at Parade Plaza closer to 4 p.m., according to News 8. They encourage everyone to come and offer support.
