New London Students to Set Sail to Cuba Aboard Tall Ship

A handful of high school students will be packing their bags and setting off on an international voyage this March, the New London Day reported.

The students will set sail aboard the tall ship Oliver Hazard Perry from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Havana, Cuba, according to the New London Day. The ship’s passengers will consist of students from Ledyard, Groton and New London.

The students are members of "More Than Words," a leadership group focused on conflict resolution, the New London Day reported. The group is made up of students at Fitch High School, Ledyard High School and the Science and Technology Magnet High School.
