New London Teacher Elected to Lead Police Relations Committee

He hopes to help the committee represent a non-biased eye in the community.

NEW LONDON, CT - A New London teacher will soon be leading a police relations committee, The Day reported.

Richard Baez is a retired police officer who now teaches at C.B Jennings Elementary School, according to The Day. He was elected unanimously Tuesday to replace former Chairwoman Kris Wraight.

Baez was appointed in April to represent the Hispanic community on the committee, according to The Day. He hopes to move the committee in a direction where the public sees them approaching their task with a non-biased eye.
