New London Thames River Apartments Battle Nears End
The housing authority has submitted an application for Section 8 vouchers for the 124 families that live in the outdated apartments.

NEW LONDON, CT —New London Housing Authority officials hope to see all 124 families move out of the outdated Thames River Apartments building by the end of the year.
The New London Housing Authority filed paperwork with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to start the process of getting Section 8 vouchers, according to The Day.
Residents have complained for years about unsanitary and unsafe conditions at the apartment complex.
