New London Warns About Unauthorized Curb Painting

NEW LONDON, CT — It has come to our attention that residents in the south end (Montauk Ave) of the city have been receiving notices attached to their doors from a company identified as “Connecticut Curb Appeal LLC” offering a “reflective home address” to be painted on the curb in front of their homes. The notice indicates that the work will be done tomorrow on the 9th of April with a charge to the homeowner of $25.00 for painting the home address, plus another $5.00 for a “Yankees” or “Red Sox” logo included.

Please be advised that the City of New London has not approved any permits or authorized any vendor, company or individuals to paint, mark or alter any city owned curbing in the city of New London. The New London Police Department has been advised of this issue and residents should not provide any funding or authorization for any marking of city curbs.
