New London Woman Arrested for Driving Under the Influence, Swinging at Officers: Police

NEW LONDON, CT - Police charged a New London woman Monday with driving under the influence and interfering with an officer, the Norwich Bulletin reported.

Veronica Ormrod was stopped after leaving a Gales Ferry home she was “unwanted’ in, according to the Norwich Bulletin. Officers said she was under the influence during the stop.

Police said the suspect resisted arrest by pushing and swinging toward officers, the Norwich Bulletin reported. She is due to appear in court on February 7.
