New London Woman Charged with DUI, Driving 100 mph: Report
A woman was charged with DUI after police said she drove at 100 miles per hour and was seen swerving.
NEW LONDON, CT - A New London driver has been charged with DUI after hitting 100 miles per hour, the New London Day reported.
Groton police said they spotted 37-year-old Samantha Whitcher traveling at high rate of speed early Thursday morning and sent out an alert to nearby police, according to the New London Day. She was allegedly traveling northbound on Route 12 at approximately 90 miles per hour.
Ledyard police pursued the vehicle and said they saw the car swerving over the median and fog lines, the New London Day reported. The suspect was stopped near the intersection of Stoddards Wharf Road.
