New London's Harbor Light Faces Another Lawsuit
Immediately after tours at Harbor Light resumed, neighbors have filed a suit against them.
NEW LONDON, CT - Neighbors have filed a lawsuit against the operators of Harbor Light after tours recently resumed, The Day reported. After a four-year hiatus, tours began again last week.
The suit was filed by lighthouse neighbors Randy and Bonita Waesche, who argue that the tours represent a commercial venture in a residential neighborhood, according to the Day. The ruling in a previous suit stated that the tours must be small and infrequent.
New London Harbor Light is the nation's fifth oldest light station and the seventh oldest U.S. lighthouse, according to Wikipedia. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
