Ocean Beach Park Saw Crowd of 13k July 4: Report
It was one of the busiest days in the park's history, and beachgoers left a large amount of trash behind.

NEW LONDON, CT — An estimated 13,000 people went to Ocean Beach Park July 4 to celebrate the holiday in what was one of the busiest days in the park's history.
The large crowd also left a large amount of garbage as people looked for places to park after the main and overflow lots filled to capacity, according to The Day.
Residents and beach staff were busy the day after cleaning up trash from the beach and surrounding streets.
