Overpass Bridge Work On I-95 In New London Means Delays

Beginning Monday Sept. 9 and lasting until Friday Sept. 13, overpass bridge work on I-95 South between exits 82 and 85 will cause delays.

NEW LONDON, CT—Driving on I-95 Southbound in New London and Groton beginning Monday Sept. 9 and lasting until Friday means single-lane traffic as the state does maintenance work on the state road 635 overpass bridge.

Motorists can expect delays from exits 82 to exit 85 with left lane closures expected from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The state Department of Transportation says drivers should expect the scheduled to be changed due to "weather delays or other unforeseen conditions."

Workers will be doing structural steel repairs on the overpass.
