Police Conducting Sobriety Checkpoint In New London: PD
Police said they will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in New London this week. Find out where and when.

NEW LONDON, CT — New London police said the department, in conjunction with area law enforcement agencies, will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint Friday, May 25, on Water Street in New London.
"This operation will focus on both drug and alcohol-related impaired driving and is being supported by the Connecticut Department of Transportation Highway Safety Grant program," Captain Brian M. Wright said in a release. "The grant also incorporates roving patrols targeting impaired and unsafe drivers."
According to police, this event symbolizes the department's commitment towards improving public safety, reducing the number of DUI incidents and decreasing the number of alcohol-related traffic collisions and fatalities.
