Police Investigating Shots Fired In New London

NEW LONDON, CT - Police are currently investigating reports of shots being fired at Riverside Park in New London. Police said the incident occurred Sunday at approximately 2:44 p.m., according to a release.

Officers obtained information upon arrival in the area that some type of disturbance erupted between people in the park and weapons were fired multiple times, police said. Members of the Investigative Services Division subsequently responded to the location to collect evidence. (To sign up for New London breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Police said there have been no reported injuries as of yet. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to contact the New London Police Department immediately.
