Police Raid RV; Charge Homeless Couple with Operating a Drug Factory

An illegally parked recreational vehicle was raided by New London Police; drugs, facsimile guns seized.

A homeless couple living in an RV that officials say was illegally parked on railroad property is facing drug charges after New London Police Department VIS and Narcotics Unit and members of the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Unit raided the vehicle.

It was about 8:40 a.m. Thursday when officers executed a search and seizure warrant on a recreational vehicle that was concealed from public view through the use of barricades, cut brush and a camouflage tarp, according to police.

Upon searching the vehicle officers located a video surveillance system, two facsimile firearms, 12 grams of raw heroin, 62 prepackaged bags of heroin and paraphernalia used to make, weigh and package heroin.

Francisco Rolon, 35, and Alexandria Moya, 30, each were charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell, ossession of heroin with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a housing project, pperating a drug factory, possession of drug paraphernalia. Rolon also was charged with criminal possession of a firearm.
