Police Seize Heroin, More Following New London Man's Arrest: PD

Police said officers seized heroin, crack cocaine and more following a New London man's arrest.

NEW LONDON, CT — Police said officers seized heroin, crack cocaine and more following a New London man's arrest Wednesday. The arrest was part of a quality of life initiative, according to police.

Police said Jerry Hawthorne, 66, of New London was arrested on charges of possession of heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana, all with intent to sell, among other charges.

Police said officers seized approximately 7.7 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 5.6 grams of heroin, approximately 1.2 grams of marijuana and $131 in cash as a result of the suspect's arrest.
