Powerball Jackpot Breaks $300 Million For Tonight's Drawing

An estimated $302 million Powerball jackpot could be drawn Wednesday night.

An estimated $302 million Powerball® jackpot, with a cash lump sum option of $187.3 million, could be drawn Wednesday night. As players have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the jackpot, the CT Lottery is reminding customers to play responsibly.

This week's drawing is the highest since the $435.3 million jackpot on February 22. It will also be the 17th drawing since the last Powerball jackpot was hit April 1. (To sign up for free, local breaking news alerts from more than 100 Connecticut communities click here.)

“When jackpots reach hundreds of millions of dollars, we encourage people to use their ‘GameSense,’ or common sense, when playing,” CT Lottery’s Interim President and CEO Chelsea Turner said in a release. “It is important for consumers to use good judgement and to remember to ‘play for fun, not to make money,’ ‘know when to take breaks’ and ‘please play responsibly.’ It only takes one ticket to win.”
