Registered Sex Offender In New London Sentenced To 16 Years In Prison: Report

A registered sex offender in New London was sentenced to 16 years in prison​ for allegedly enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity.

NEW LONDON, CT - A registered sex offender in New London was sentenced to 16 years in prison Thursday, Fox 61 reported. He is charged with enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity.

Police said Bryan White, 40, communicated with a 13-year old girl in New Jersey over the phone and through a video chatting service, according to Fox 61. He allegedly asked the victim to travel from New Jersey to Connecticut and engage in sexual activity with him. (To sign up for New London breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

The suspect allegedly told the victim through text message that age was just a number when she informed him repeatedly that she was 13, Fox 61 reported. White was also placed on a lifetime of supervision in addition to the 16-year sentence.
