Southern CT Boaters Preparing For Hurricane Jose

NEW LONDON, CT - As Hurricane Jose makes its way towards southern Connecticut, local boaters are working to prepare for the big storm, News 8 reported.

A large concern for the oncoming storm is swells sending boats either crashing into each other or into the docks, according to News 8. Due to this, marinas may receive requests from owners to have their vessels pulled from the water. News 8 noted that Burr's Marina in New London is doubling up lines and adding fenders in preparation of Jose, according to News 8. It is hoped that these measures will keep boats secure during the storm.
