State Police Seize Cocaine, Heroin During Search In New London

State police said a New London man was arrested after officers located heroin, cocaine and more during a recent search.

NEW LONDON, CT - State police arrested a New London man last week after conducting a narcotics-related investigation. Officers seized crack cocaine and more during a related search, police said.

Police said members of the Connecticut State Police - Statewide Narcotics Task Force-East and the New London Police Department's VICE and Intelligence Unit executed a narcotics search warrant at a West Street apartment Thursday. The search occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m., according to a release. (To sign up for New London breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Police said officers subsequently located approximately 33.9 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 17.9 grams of heroin and 16 strips of suboxone during the search. Officers also seized $2,721 cash, police said.

Police said Anthony Whitley, 32, (A.K.A. "Flee") of New London was arrested on related narcotics charges. The suspect is presently out on bond, according to a release.
