Two Men Still At Large After Alleged Assault, Theft From Orient Express
An Orient Express clerk was treated at the hospital after one of the men allegedly assaulted her.

Two masked men, one armed with a handgun, walked into the Orient Express convenience store, 92 Truman St., and demanded money, New London Deputy Chief Peter Reichard said.
The alleged robbery took place around 7:15 p.m. Thursday, April 30.
“The clerk initially refused and was assaulted by one of the masked men until she turned over the money,” Reichard said via a press release.

The two men allegedly stole a large sum of money and fled on foot northbound on Truman Street. The police used a K9 in attempts to track the suspects but lost the scent in the area of Hope and Hempstead Streets.
The store clerk received non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the L&M hospital.

Police are looking for two darked skinned Hispanic or black males, 25-30 years old, wearing dark hooded clothing and a mask. They may have left the area driving a black or dark colored vehicle.
