Unconscious Man Found on State Pier Road in New London
Hospital staff revived the man at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, police said.

The New London Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call from a concerned citizen who observed a male laying partially in the roadway of State Pier Road near Mill Street, at 8:55 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8.
The New London Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the scene.
“The initial first responders found the male unresponsive and medical treatment was provided by the fire department,” New London Deputy Police Chief Peter Reichard said.

The man was transported to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, where advanced life saving measures were taken and his pulse returned, he said.
State Pier Road was shut down briefly while the New London Police Department investigated the circumstances of the incident.

“At this time it appears to be a medical issue with no foul play,” Reichard said.
