Victim ID'd In Untimely Death Investigation: New London Police

Police have identified a man who died Saturday afternoon.

NEW LONDON, CT — Police have identified the victim in a death investigation. Michael Naphen, 63, of New London, died Saturday afternoon.

At 12:52 p.m. that day, a 911 call was received by the New London Emergency Dispatch Center reporting that a person may have jumped off the top of the Water Street Parking Garage, police said.

Emergency Services personnel found an unconscious and unresponsive man, police said. The man was taken to L+M Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
