And while much of his family was outraged, Henderson-Warren says he not only forgives, but understands that cops needed to do their jobs. He was released right away on bail he said, but was worried about his younger brother, Savahn Ali Warren, 12; the grief in losing his mom and the fear of his brother being taken away and all just before Christmas.

In a good way.
Police arrive with gifts: "We're both parents," New London Police Officer Deena Nott says, pointing to another officer, "I'm a mom, he's a dad. We're parents before we're ever police officers. If you need anything from from us, you call; we're here. All we ask is that you be a good guy and help somebody in return."
Henderson-Warren wrote, "We thank you all who serve and protect. May God bless us all."And then said, "Also, for those like my mom that wanted me to do better, I'm a changed man."
