So here I am. This blog was supposed to be launched a week ago, and what do you know, I ran into writer's block. What do I write without sounding totally ignorant about yoga? So I continued to go to classes (six thus far) and finally realized that all the advice the instructor gives during yoga class is extremely helpful outside of yoga class as well. (I can be pretty dense sometimes.) So I took a bit of yoga advice/instruction (one that you’ll hear quite often if you choose to try out yoga), stopped for a moment and
BREATHED.
Soon I realized that it’s okay to sound completely ignorant about yoga. That’s what this blog is all about. (I’m putting the new in newbie.) So here I am and here we are. I’m still learning and hopefully you’ll tune in once or twice a month and learn with me. From the yoga basics to the daunting task of spelling Shavasana (and the even more daunting task of not falling asleep during Shavasana.)
So what have I learned so far?

- After much worrying about what to wear. I learned that no one cares what you dress like. Dress comfortably in flexible clothes. Nothing too loose or you’ll get tangled up in it, and you’ll have enough to focus on with some of these poses. Trust me.
- I suck at breathing. Really, really. (But I’m still going to still try to master it!)
- I’m actually pretty flexible but have no equilibrium, so I fall over easily.
- I prefer doing yoga outside versus in a studio.
- I really have to try not to fall asleep during Shavasana.
Since this blog took me so long. I’m going to try to get the next one out soon, so tune in next week. Same bat time, same bat channel.
