Winter Parking Ban Issued For New London

City officials said a winter parking ban has been issued for New London due to the significant amount of snowfall forecasted for the area.

NEW LONDON, CT — City officials said a winter parking ban has been issued for New London due to the significant amount of snowfall forecasted for the area.

Effective at 12 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, the city of New London Winter Parking Ban shall be in effect until such time as the snow plows have ended plowing operations, according to a release.

While the parking ban is in effect:

1. No parking on any streets in the downtown area between 12 a.m. and 8 p.m. Residents and visitors may park in the Water Street Parking Garage for free between 12 a.m. and 8 p.m.

2. No parking on narrow streets.

3. Where parking is permitted on only one side of the street, follow posted regulations.

4. Where parking is permitted on both sides of the street, park on the odd side of the street only.
