Woman Accused Of Taking Child From Hospital Arrested: Report

NEW LONDON, CT — Police said a woman accused of taking her 3-year-old daughter from a New London hospital was arrested Friday, the New London Day reported. The alleged incident occurred Wednesday, Feb. 14, police said.

According to the Day, 29-year-old India Quinones of New London is accused of taking the child from Lawrence + Memorial Hospital despite a medical hold and the fact that she did not have custody of the child, police said. Police subsequently issued a silver alert for the child, who was found two days later, police said.

Police said the accused was arrested Friday after an investigation into the incident, according to the Day.
