Woman Rescued from Thames River in New London by Coast Guard
A woman was heard yelling for help by fisherman.

NEW LONDON, CT – A woman was rescued from the Thames River on Wednesday by a Coast Guard Station New London crew, The Day reported.
The woman was heard by fishermen on a pier near Fort Trumbull, who called the police close to 8:30 p.m., according to The Day. The woman was found 15 minutes later by the crew.
The middle-age woman was described as shaken but conscious and alert, according to The Day. She was then taken to the hospital for evaluation.
