New Milford Museum 'Reunites' Taylor Family

NEW MILFORD, CT — The New Milford Historical Society & Museum is throwing a reunion party for a couple of prominent, albeit long-dead, residents.

Earlier this year the museum purchased the oil painting of Tamar Boardman Taylor through an online auction, and then made a public appeal to help defray those costs.

The portrait of Taylor is being "reunited" with that of her husband Rev. Nathaniel Taylor, on loan to the museum from the Congregational Church.

The reunion party, with cake and light refreshments, will be open to the public on Tuesday, April 23 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the New Milford Historical Society at 6 Aspetuck Avenue.

This event will be running during the Connecticut Community Foundation's Give Local raising campaign. From 7 a.m. on April 23 to 7 p.m. on April 24th all donations made to the New Milford Historical Society and Museum and other local organizations will be boosted with bonus funds and prizes.
