
HOME INSTEAD SENIOR CARE ANNOUNCES MONROE RESIDENT NAMED NEW COMMUNITY SERVICE COORDINATOR
Sharon Massafra, owner of the Home Instead Senior Care offices in Trumbull and Sandy Hook, announced that Harriette R. Trevino of Monroe has been named community service coordinator. Ms. Trevino will help create and fulfill community relations opportunities for the franchise owned by Sharon and Robert Massafra of Fairfield, and serves seniors and their families in 33 towns
throughout northern Fairfield, southern Litchfield and northwest New Haven Counties.
Home Instead Senior Care is a network of independently-owned and operated senior care franchises worldwide. Each local area office employs professional staff members and CAREGivers who assist older adults with everyday tasks including personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, laundry and light housekeeping, escort for shopping and errands, plus respite care for family caregivers.

In her new position with Home Instead Senior Care, Trevino will be responsible for networking in the community and meeting with referral partners in agencies and facilities that work with seniors to explain the mission of Home Instead Senior Care. Her ambition will be to become a trusted non-medical provider of services who can assist, encourage, and stimulate seniors in a variety of daily living activities, allowing them to remain independent at home and improving their quality of life.
Harriette Trevino is co-founder and CEO of Bull’s Head Printers of Stamford and Monroe, Connecticut. She is an ambassador for the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce (GVCC); a member of WIN-Women in Networking; and a 2009 graduate of the Leadership Greater Valley program. Trevino is an active member of the Monroe and Newtown Chambers of Commerce and president of the two chambers’ Power Network group. She is also a member of Working Women’s Forum, the Entrepreneurial Women’s Network, and the Stamford chapter of Rotary International since 1995 having receiving the Rotarian of the Year Award in 2010 and two Paul Harris Awards. Trevino has served on the Stamford Rotary Club’s board of directors for four years and chaired the Fellowship Committee. She and her husband Jesse Trevino have been supporters of Rotary International’s Youth Exchange programs, and she has been co-leader of Girl Scouts of America in Monroe since 2005.

In 1975, Trevino earned her BA in psychology from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, having spent her senior year at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
