EverWonder Children’s Museum is pleased to announce its calendar for April 2016. The museum has events for the entire family. The event calendar is subject to change without notice. Please check EverWonderMuseum.org or Facebook for calendar changes and announcements.

EverWonder is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Admission is $7.00 per person, and children under the age of 1 years old are free. Museum members are free. Parking at the museum is also free.
Story Lab for Young Explorers meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 am to 11:00 am. This 30 minute program of STEM themed stories, activities, and crafts takes place in the EverWonder classroom. Parents must stay with their children during the program. Program is free with museum admission.

Come celebrate EverWonder Children Museum’s 1st Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, April 2nd and Sunday, April 3rd. In honor of EverWonder’s 1st anniversary, there will be special science demos, face painting, and the Decadent Dog food truck. Visitors will receive half admission and be entered to win a free t-shirt on both Saturday and Sunday. Members will be entered to win a free birthday party. Castle Hill Farms will also be visiting the museum on Saturday, April 2nd from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Art Lab: Cloud Guy & Tiny Windmills
Starting on Tuesday, April 5th, come check out our new weather inspired Art Lab projects, Cloud Guy and Tiny Windmills.
In Cloud Guy, our young scientists will use clouds, rain drops, and lightning shapes to create a paper doll. Our scientists will learn about cloud types and weather patterns while constructing their Cloud Guy.
In Tiny Windmills, our young scientists will use paper cups, pins, and paper to construct miniature windmills. While constructing windmills, our scientists will learn about wind power and engineering.

Art Lab: Cotton Ball Clouds
Calling all future meteorologists! Come learn about the different types of clouds through manipulating cotton balls. Our budding scientists will also learn about how identifying clouds can also help you determine weather patterns.

Science Lab: Clouds in a Jar
Ever wonder how clouds are made? Ever wonder how what makes a cloud a rain cloud? Ever wonder how rain is created? Come learn all about rain while creating a rain cloud in a jar. Our young scientists will simulate the water cycle and cloud creation through using shaving cream, water, and food coloring.

Science Lab: Temperature and Thermometers
Calling all scientists! It is getting warm outside! Come celebrate spring and learn about how to tell the temperature on a thermometer. Our scientists will get to manipulate temperatures and get to practice reading the temperature on our EverWonder thermometer.

Formed in January 2011 by a group of parents, EverWonder Children’s Museum (incorporated as Newtown Children’s Museum, Inc.) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring children and families in Northern Fairfield County through the use of hands-on museum exhibits and demonstrations. Museums hours are Tuesday – Saturday 10 am -5 pm and Sunday 11 am – 5 pm. The museum is located at 31 Pecks Lane Newtown, CT 06470. Regular admission is $7.00 for visitors over 1 year of age.
