Attend the 6th Annual Meet Monroe Business Expo!
The local community is invited to attend this fantastic, free event, including the Taste of Monroe, a Career Fair, raffle prizes, and more!

The Monroe Chamber of Commerce is happy to present the sixth annual Meet Monroe, the town’s largest business exposition, to the public. This showcase will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the The Waterview, 215 Roosevelt Drive in Monroe.
For those who have not yet heard of this notable event, Meet Monroe is an annual, unique business showcase in which the community can meet local business owners one-on-one and explore the great products and services offered throughout Monroe. Meet Monroe is an excellent opportunity for local businesses and residents of Monroe to connect on a personal level within an informal, fun atmosphere.
The event kicks off with a business-to-business Sponsor’s Luncheon at 12:30pm. All business professionals are encouraged to attend this networking opportunity. The Chamber is presenting keynote speaker, Bryan Atherton, President, Broker and Chief Executive Officer of Atherton & Associates. Bryan is a well-respected business leader within the Monroe community and is regarded as a regional leader in all aspects related to Commercial Real Estate. His presentation is titled “Smart Growth for 2015 & Beyond.” This Sponsors’ Reception has a $15 charge for current Chamber members and a $20 charge for non-members and includes a delectable lunch featuring an upscale New York street cart style experience. The trade show opens to the public at 4:00pm and proves to be one of the most engaging showcases the Chamber has generated thus far. Guests should try to arrive as early as possible, as the first two hundred visitors will receive a chance to “Win for Life” with a free scratch off ticket.
This year the Chamber is thrilled to announce some new features of the business expo, including a Career Fair where residents can speak one-on-one with local business owners looking to hire employees. Not only can the community bring their resumes and meet potential employers, but there will also be designated rooms for personal interviews so employment opportunities can prosper. All guests have to do to find employers is look for businesses throughout the expo with the designated Career Fair sign. The Masuk High School Robotics Club, whose teams have recently qualified for the Vex World Championships will be showing off their winning robots to the community as well.

Meet Monroe is also bringing back some of the most popular aspects of the tradeshow. Artist Barbara Hager will be providing caricatures for both kids and adults alike. The Sound Tigers mascot, Storm, will be attending the event to hand out free high-fives and hugs to the Monroe community. Once again, local businesses throughout the area have generously donating terrific raffle prizes for the community to win. Of course, what’s a business showcase without food? A number of local restaurants will be providing free food samples throughout the afternoon for everyone to enjoy.
Meet Monroe Business Showcase, sponsored by Title Sponsor Newtown Savings Bank and Event Sponsors Monroe Courier, Edgerton, Inc., The Waterview, Fairfield County Bank, Spectrum Business and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, begins at 4:00pm and is open to the community free of charge.
