Children of the Force
Newtown Youth and Family Services is hosting support group for children of separated or divorced parents.
NYFS located at 15 Berkshire Road in Sandy Hook, is hosting Children of the Force (formerly Children of Divorce) for children of divorced or separated parents. This series begins on Tuesday, January 27th, 2015 and will meet weekly for the next 7 weeks. It provides your child/children with a safe and neutral place to recognize and learn how to share their feelings. It offers a chance for your child/children to meet other children in the same situation and create a peer support system. The meeting times are separated into two different age groups. 7-10 year olds will meet from 4 pm - 4:45 pm and the 11-13 year olds will meet from 5 pm - 5:45 pm. This is a FREE program.
