Fairfield Prep’s Mitch Savoca commits to University of Richmond Lacrosse

Scholar-Athlete Savoca earns college athletic opportunity

Fairfield Prep proudly announces that by his strong character, academic success, and athletic efforts, Mitch Savoca has earned the opportunity to compete in the sport of lacrosse while achieving his college degree. Mitch has signed a National Letter of Intent to play lacrosse at University of Richmond. Savoca was a key member of Fairfield Prep’s lacrosse team in 2016 that were SCC Champions and Class L semifinalists. Savoca, an attackman, registered 56 goals and 30 assists for the season in addition to being named Class L First Team All-State, SCC First Team All-Conference and New Haven Register All-Area. Mitch is also a member of Fairfield Prep’s Varsity Basketball team. In the classroom Mitch is a Summa Cum Laude student and does service work at the Kennedy Center Bowling Program. Savoca has also done work with the Newtown Youth Lacrosse camps and volunteers at the Fairfield Prep open house.
