Judy Grabarz of Newtown Florist will present "Demystifying Flower Arrangements" at the next meeting of The Garden Club of Newtown on Jan. 27

The January meeting of The Garden Club of Newtown will feature Judy Grabarz, owner of Newtown Florist, with an informative and inspiring presentation entitled Demystifying Flower Arrangements at the Cyrenius H. Booth Library at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27th.

At the upcoming program, Judy will discuss floral design basics and flower selection while creating several small arrangements which will be raffled off at the conclusion of the presentation. Judy welcomes questions from her audience to tailor the presentation to their specific interests and concerns. She stresses that design is subjective and personal but quality of construction and materials help to create an attractive and pleasing result. According to Judy, practice and confidence are keys to success in floral design.

Demystifying Flower Arrangements will take place in the Olga Knoepke Meeting Room on the first floor of the Library. The public is encouraged to attend and there is a guest fee of $5 for non-members of the Club. Registration is not required. This meeting will not be held if the Newtown Public Schools are closed for weather-related reasons. Call (203) 775-7063 for more information.
