'High-Level' Heroin Dealer Tied to Death of Newtown Mother Facing Prison Time: Report
Police say the man sold heroin to a 30-year-old Newtown mother who later died of an overdose.

NEWTOWN, CT — A man regarded by authorities as a 'high-level' heroin dealer who has been tied to the overdose death of an unidentified mother of three is facing time behind bars, reports the News Times.
Ronald Weaver, 38, of Waterbury is facing up to five years in prison at his sentencing later this week after pleading guilty to the charges in October.
Police also said that during the investigation, they found several small bags of heroin with a scorpion emblem commonly used by Weaver, according to the report.

The government's sentencing memorandum indicated that Weaver sold nearly 1,000 individual doses of heroin and made as much as $6,000 per week. Weaver indicated in his own memorandum that he is now a father of a young daughter, and and regularly gives back to the community.
