Hiss Golden Messenger...LIVE MUSIC at Edmond Town Hall on Nov 20th, 7pm
The Asheville, NC group comprised of Court & Spark, Megafaun and Bon Iver members comes to Newtown's stage.
Hiss Golden Messenger is an otherworldly North Carolina-via-California folk/rock/country/shamanistic collective led by M.C. Taylor. The band creates an atmosphere of ethereal and profound beauty at the heavenly intersection where Cormac McCarthy and Flannery O’Connor front an early 70s-era Grateful Dead. Put simply: Hiss Golden Messenger is making some of the most thoughtful, rewarding and unique music on the planet. David Bowie captured Hiss Golden Messenger’s aura magnificently when he opined that their sound was that of, “Mystical country, like an eerie yellowing photograph.”
Tickets are $20 and proceeds benefit restoration/renovation efforts at Edmond Town Hall.
