Joan Pollak, a Newtown artist specializing in animal art created from locally sourced, hand-painted driftwood, will be opening her home studio at 38 Bear Hills Road to the public for a special holiday sale this Saturday, November 28 from 10am to 4pm. Her unique hanging and freestanding animal sculptures—ranging from the barnyard variety to those of the African veldt to the tip of Antarctica—are ready for display both indoors and out. Adopt one to keep or to give as a gift!
