Howl-o-ween Goes to the Dogs at Newtown Park and Bark

Event to benefit Newtown's off-leash dog park allows dogs and their people to get their costumes on and have some fun.

The 7th annual “Howl-o-ween”, a canine costume party to benefit Newtown Park and Bark, Newtown's off-leash dog park, will be held Saturday October 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The dog park, located at 21 Old Farm Road, will be closed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the event.

This fun family event, sponsored by Newtown Parks and Recreation, will offer activities such as a treasure hunt and games, basket raffles and costume contests in the categories of Scariest, Most Original, Cutest, Dog and Human Look-Alike and Best in Show. Prizes donated by Agriventures Agway will be awarded in each category. Games and contests start at 11:45 a.m.

The fee is a $5 tax-deductible donation per dog, with a limit of three dogs per owner please. All proceeds contribute to the maintenance of the park.
