Independent Voter Says 'Tony Hwang is an Outstanding Example of a Public Servant'

Tony Hwang is Senate candidate for the 28th District, which includes the towns of Easton, Fairfield, Newtown, Weston, and Westport.

Letter to the Editor:

Tony Hwang introduced himself to me shortly after I became director of the Trumbull Library seven years ago.

We sat and chatted in my office and compared philosophies of life and from that first encounter I knew this was a man of integrity and caring. Tony has proven that over the years with his strong support of each of the Library’s One Book One Town efforts and by his presence at programs and his willingness to help spread the word.

Tony has been a tireless advocate in Hartford on the town of Trumbull’s behalf, and he has remained active in the community, too. I sit on the town’s cable advisory committee and Tony attends many of our meetings. Each year the Library hosts the Center for Family Justice’s domestic violence vigil and Tony has been at every one, not as a politician, but as a concerned citizen.

As an Independent voter who takes my responsibility to vote my conscience seriously, I do not hesitate to say Tony Hwang is an outstanding example of a public servant. He is the right choice to be our next state Senator.
