Former Newtown Man Charged With Murdering His Wife

After being listed missing for 26 years — the police investigation gone cold — Elizabeth Heath's body was found in April 2010 buried under the floor of a barn at the Newtown property where she and her husband John lived together.

Former Newtown resident John Heath — long considered a , though never fingered, in the 1984 "" disappearance of his wife, Elizabeth Heath, whose remains were found in 2010 — has reportedly been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the case and is being held on a $1 million bond.

According to a report in the Newtown Bee, police arrested Heath via warrant Monday night.
