Judge Threatens Sanctions In Alex Jones Defamation Case
Jones could find himself in legal trouble if he doesn't turn over more documents soon.
NEWTOWN, CT — Conspiracy theorist and radio host Alex Jones could find himself in legal hot water after a recent ruling by a Superior Court judge in the Sandy Hook defamation case against him.
Judge Barbara Bellis ordered Jones Monday to release more data from Google Analytics and said that his submitted 35-page print out was not enough to comply with the court's discovery order.
"...the court will consider appropriate sanctions for the defendants' failure to fully and fairly comply should they not produce the data within one week," Bellis wrote in her order.

Several family members of Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims filed the defamation suit against Jones and his company Infowars in May 2018. The lawsuit alleges that Jones insisted the shooting was a "false flag" operation and parents were "crisis actors." Several family members have been subject to death threats and other extreme harassment after the 2012 shooting which claimed the lives of 20 children and six educators.
"Jones is the chief amplifier for a group that has worked in concert to create and propagate loathsome, false narratives about the Sandy Hook shooting and its victims, and promote their harassment and abuse," wrote Attorney William Bloss, who is representing the plaintiffs in the lawsuit.
