Alex Jones Responds to Sandy Hook Families' Lawsuits

The Infowars host says he believes the lawsuits will be thrown out.

NEWTOWN, CT --- Radio Host Alex Jones has responded to the families of slain Sandy Hook Elementary School students who on April 17 filed lawsuits against him for claiming the shooting didn't happen.

In a YouTube video (below), Jones upholds that the news media took his statements following the 2012 mass shootings "out of context."

Jones also encourages parents who lost their children to have a "real discussion" about guns, asserts that the lawsuits against him will be thrown out.

The defamation lawsuits were filed by the parents of Jesse Lewis and Noah Pozner, both killed in the shooting, late Monday in Travis County, Texas. The suits allege that Jones' on-air insistence the shooting was a "false flag" operation and the parents "crisis actors" resulted in the families' defamation and their receiving death threats.

The families are represented by Houston attorney Mark Bankston, who previously filed a lawsuit against Jones and Infowars for misidentifying the shooter in the Parkland school shooting. The lawsuits were filed in Texas because Jones' media company is based in Austin. They are seeking more than $1 million in damages.
