Dear Editor:

I have had the privilege and honor of working with Tony Hwang over the six years he

me and still does today is the commitment he brings to anything he undertakes. It is a

reflection of his values and who he is as a person.

His humility, sincerity and genuine nature were obvious to me last month. Tony came

to our annual church fair in Easton. He did not “press flesh” and move on, he pitched

in working in the kitchen Friday night and came back on Saturday to donate his time

again. Our community was amazed by his assistance. He worked tirelessly and with a

big smile on his face. He is a rare individual.

His legislative record speaks for itself. He is not an ideologue, but rather a rooted

individual who understands the need to be fiscally prudent without being insensitive to

the needs of all the people of his district. He will bring the same mindset and approach

to the State Senate. His bipartisan, pragmatic approach to legislation is what is needed

in the Connecticut Senate. I fully expect that his insight and recommendations would

be accepted and heeded by those on both sides of the aisle.

He certainly will have my vote on Nov. 4.
