Lost Elderly Hiker Rescued in Paugussett State Forest: Newtown Police
Police spent over two hours in the woods to locate the man and walk him to safety.
NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown Police officers rescued a lost elderly male hiker from the Paugussett State Forest Saturday night, police announced Monday.
Officers say that the man had no idea where he was and any information that he provided officers proved to be innacurate. Officers spent over two hours in the woods locating the man and walking him safely out of the woods, according to the announcement.
Police also received assistance from the Sandy Hook Fire Department, the Newtown Hook and Ladder and Newtown Ambulance.
