Newtown to Appoint New Police Chief

The Police Commission voted Tuesday to appoint a new top cop for town.

The Newtown Board of Police Commissioners voted Tuesday to hire Middlebury Police Chief James Viadero as Newtown’s top cop.

Viadero is a Newtown resident, according to The Republican-American. He will be appointed Jan. 7 after current Chief Michael Kehoe retires.
