Pocketbook Stolen

A pocketbook was reported stolen during a smash and grab vehicle burglary in Newtown.

The pocketbook was taken sometime between 10:45 p.m. on August 17 and 7 a.m. on August 18 from Philo Curtis Road.

A back window was smashed, police said.

Woman Allegedly Violates Protective Order

A Newtown woman was arrested after she allegedly violated a protective order by going to a residence on August 21.

Police arrested Annmarie Blagbrough, 51, of Church Hill Road and charged her with violation of a protective order. She was released on a $10,000 bond.

Man Turns Himself in on Warrant

A Seymour man was arrested after he turned himself in on an active warrant.

Hands Barth, 43, was charged with disorderly conduct and three counts of risk of injury to a minor. He was released on a $750 bond.

Vehicle Flees Scene of Accident

A blue-colored Honda fled from a parking lot after the operator backed into an Audi convertible.

The incident happened on August 15 around 11:30 a.m. at the 5 Queen Street parking lot.

The license plate may be similar to Connecticut 105-XVG.
